Hey, I’m Ben. I love working with visuals and imagery, using them to create bold, dynamic layouts that really capture attention. I’m always exploring new ways to combine imagery and typography to tell compelling stories and make an impact through design.

Car Mag

Design for a magazine dedicated to car design enthusiasts. The extended T and I of the cover masthead creates a reference to road and stands from other magazines. The table of contents carry’s forward the road stripe in broad yellow stripes that end in vehicles on the move. An example spread features the facts and intricacies of different kinds of cars, from vintage to new and futuristic concepts. The left page features one of the most iconic cars found in popular culture, the DMC DeLorean. The right is a detail shot of the unique ody shape of the of the Porsche Carrera, highlighting some of the car’s stunning details.

Movie Poster

An image-based poster focusing on the promotion of the movie, Home: the final trilogy. The futuristic Astronaut depicted is an important figure from the movie. Some of the environments from the movie are reflected in the helmet to give a sense of the plot. Background information on which actors are featured in the movie and who directed it can be found in the composition. It also contains the date and the production studio.

Infographic

An infographic poster design for the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). The design presents general information about UFC fighters in a simple yet visually engaging manner.  Information in the poster is organized in three main sections: Winning Methods, Champions, and Fighter Demographics. The Winning Methods bar graph uses neutral and vibrant colors to differentiate victories by knockouts, submissions, and decision. This makes it easy for viewers to understand which method is most common in matches. The map emphasizes the distribution of fighters around the world and which fighting style is most popular. Countries are ranked according to how many champions they produce in the Champions chart. The simplicity of the visuals makes this poster a comprehensive guide for anyone new to the sport.
